I recommend installing DirectX9.0b (more information in my System Optimization Guide). A copy of DirectX8.1 is on the Morrowind CD. If you don't have WindowsXP, you will need to install at least DirectX8.1 as well (if not DirectX9.0b). Usually this is C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind. I would also recommend installing Morrowind in the directory suggested by the program. I highly recommend choosing to install the TES Construction Kit as well, as this will be needed later to fix an error with the plugins. If you do not have Bloodmoon, the next latest full version of Morrowind is with the Tribunal Expansion and Patch, or if you just have Morrowind without any expansions, the latest version is the patch. Note: This guide has been updated up to the latest version of Morrowind (Version ) which is the version with the latest Morrowind Bloodmoon Expansion Pack Patch.
